The mission of the LIBBY POLICE DEPARTMENT is to uphold the law fairly and firmly; to prevent crime; to pursue and bring to justice those who break the law; to keep the peace; and to provide quality police service to the community by promoting a safe environment through police and citizen interaction, with an emphasis on integrity, fairness, and professionalism.
Certification of Integrity
In June 2002 the Libby Police Department was awarded the Certification of Integrity by the National Institute of Ethics. The Libby Police Department is the first law enforcement agency in the State of Montana, and the eleventh in the nation, to recieve this award.
